GGLT has been busy organising a joint garden history research day with our neighbouring CGTs : Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset.  It is completely FREE and the purpose of the day is to gently introduce the topic to anyone who might have an interest in garden history research and is aimed specifically at inexperienced volunteers who would like to find out what is involved.  Absolutely no prior knowledge is necessary.

If you would like to attend please email [email protected] It is limited to just 10 places per CGT, so if you would like to come, please get in touch asap.

The day will begin at 10.30am with coffee and biscuits on arrival and an 11am start in the education room. We will provide a home cooked lunch from 1pm and then the day will conclude around 3.15pm.  Claire de Carle, the Chair of Buckinghamshire Gardens Trust and Tamsin McMillan of the Gardens Trust will be leading the day.

The Wiltshire & Swindon History Centre https://wshc.org.uk/ is just a few minutes walk from Chippenham railway station, or if you are coming in the car, there is ample free parking.
