Kindly organised by Andrew Tolman, numbers restricted to 30.

Total cost for the day £30.

Oxleaze Farm

Oxleaze garden surrounds a Cotswold farmhouse dating back to the 1700s and is off the beaten track on the Gloucestershire/Oxfordshire border. Visitors are invited to explore the twists and turns, with garden rooms each revealing a new dimension with well-stocked mixed borders, a vegetable potager, cutting garden, water and bog garden, apple arch, meadow and orchard complete with beehives.

The garden pays attention to detail with practical elements such as ornamental fruit cages, greenhouse and a charming potting shed. The garden is alive with birds, bees and the odd chicken, whilst each ‘room’ of the garden provides unexpected delights, separated by topiary which gives the garden structure when the flowers fade.

Pindrup Farm

Pindrup Farm

Pindrup Farm is a four-acre garden, designed by Tom Stuart-Smith between 2014-2019. The gardens surround an 18th century farmhouse, on the banks of the River Coln and sit within 230 acres of organic farmland, which includes river meadows, woodland and wildflower grassland.

The main garden comprises a series of herbaceous borders around the house, filled with Tom’s signature perennial planting, multi-stem crab-apple trees and clipped Taxus domes. In the pool garden, large Buxus have been clipped in the shape of large rocks. These are surrounded by naturalistic planting . The walled garden contains a Prairie Garden, with meandering paths through large swathes of perennials and grasses.
