GGLT Annual General Meeting

Free to Members. Refreshments included.

This year’s AGM will be held At Netherfields, near Wotton-under-Edge, in GGLT Committee Member Margie Hoffnung’s garden on the edge of the Cotswold escarpment.   From her lawn you can see for more than 30 miles out over the River Severn, into Wales and as far as the Black Mountains. She has a 4.5 acre wildflower meadow which should be approaching its peak in early June, and members will be able to walk up through the meadow from their cars* to enjoy some one of GGLT’s delicious teas and wander around Margie’s informal garden.

There is a walk uphill to the property. Please indicate in the booking if you need to park on the property drive. Limited spaces available.

GGLT has been busy organising a joint garden history research day with our neighbouring CGTs : Wiltshire, Avon and Somerset.  It is completely FREE and the purpose of the day is to gently introduce the topic to anyone who might have an interest in garden history research and is aimed specifically at inexperienced volunteers who would like to find out what is involved.  Absolutely no prior knowledge is necessary

If you would like to attend please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. It is limited to just 10 places per CGT, so if you would like to come, please get in touch asap.

Our AGM this year will be held at Highnam Court, by kind invitation of long standing GGLT member Roger Head.

After the short AGM, Roger will introduce us to the history and his restoration of the Grade II* gardens and landscape. Surrounding the Commonwealth-era house (not open), much of the garden was created by members of the Gambier-Parry family between 1838 – 1966.

Proceeds from this visit will support The Pied Piper Appeal and GGLT

Attendance at the AGM only is free to GGLT members. However, please register your interest
